Oppenheimerium is the provisional non-systematic name of an undiscovered element with the symbol Oph and atomic number 1028. Oppenheimerium was named in honor of J. Robert Oppenheimer (1904–1967), who lead the Manhattan Project, which succeeded in creating the first atomic bomb, along with the Born–Oppenheimer approximation, the Oppenheimer–Phillips process and the first prediction of quantum tunneling. This a hypothetical element with atomic number is known in the scientific literature as unnilbioctium (Unbo) or simply element 1028. Oppenheimerium is the twenty-third element of the piscide series and located in the periodic table coordinate 4i23.
